Farmers Market.... Zapote Costa Rica

I had a chance to check out the local farmers market today in downtown Zapote, in Costa Rica. Along with my friends, we took Sunday to explore the streets, and see what kind of fruits and vegetables the local vendors were selling. The market was fairly crowded, but still passable to explore the different variety of fruits and vegetables they had. The best part of the whole farmers market experience, was the  ridiculously  low prices. I had the chance to try some of the local fruits, bananas which were selling for 500.00 colones, which converted to $1 in dollars. The fruits we saw were ripe and sweet, and perfect in color and formation, perfect! because they were in season. We had a chance to taste some cantaloupe and watermelon, as the locals were nice and genuine enough to try their samples . One of my favorite moments, was having the opportunity to buy and try local Costa Rican cuisines. We ate many things from, Gallo Pinto, chicharrones, Empanadas, and natural blended fresco. My friends Travis and Florent brought coconut water for 2.00 colones, which was 50 cents, when converted into American dollars. The framers market is not also a great place to find great deals, but mingle and chat with locals,as they are welcoming of foreigners who venture around the local markets. I also had the chance to see some interesting people on my tour around the farmers market . People were hollering, luring whoever passed by. The best part of the afternoon, is when I saw a vendor by the side of a food charts, selling sweet coconut cake for 125 colones a piece, he was selling one of my favorite sweet goods. Persuading me to buy all six items he had available, and with his crazy and out there personality, it didn't take much convicing, as I went to a local ATM machine nearby, to withdraw some cash to by  the coconut cake from him. Going to the local farmers market, I realized you can  find very  interesting people, everyone enjoys the simple things in life, such as the companion of good company. The weather might not have been the best, but it was still a fun experience. Filled with fun and tranquility.

Future Project... Art School In Jamaica

One of my biggest ambitions in life is to have a place where youths can have the opportunity to share their passions and God given talent as artist. Right now, I´m in the beginning stages, of planning and organization my thoughts and ideas, so the dream can slowly develop and surly be possible. as they saying goes, nothing can be successful with careful planning and preparation, as I want this project to be a global phenomenon. The Arts school will be geared on providing the tools and essentials needed, so the children can live their long life dream, of becoming well rounded  artist, and meeting their goals,  while having the opportunity to communicate with others, in a cultural exchange program. With a little help and guidance, the dream can become a reality. The mission of the art school  is to provide creative solutions for young people through the arts, and offering programs in different areas of art, From clay, graffiti, chalk, photography, music, drama, theater, arts,  dance, and creative writing classes. The organization also have a Performing Arts Day Camp for youth ages twelve to eighteen years of age. This will ensure their development as individuals and artist. One of my other ideas, is to have a team of photographers, and videographers capture prolific images of their artwork, sharing their work via Internet. This will allow the artist to communicate and network their work while sharing and swapping ideas. My ultimate goal in the end  is to have have a network of art schools  in third world countries.  If you want to be apart of the cause and help young people fulfill their goals, please feel free to drop me a line. As they say, the bigger the team, the stronger the ideas. I will keep you posted in the near future.

Internatonal Space Program Available in 2015/Skydying from Space

Its crazy to think, that the international space program is thinking of having a space program available to the public in the year 2015. Just imagine, floating millions miles away, in the starlit universe, seeing our neighboring planets, wondering what our families and friends are doing on earth. Its awesome even thinking about it, because of the possibilities it presents, and what it does for technology and human evolution. Just picture being weightless, floating in gravitational less universe, thinking if your the only one that exist in this humongous universe, this will diffidently be one giant leap for mankind, especially thinking about the possibilities of having  colonies on the moon someday. I just recently read an article, about a dare devil, by the name of fearless Felix, who is about to do the unthinkable, by taking a hot air balloon into the stratosphere, then skydiving from that point, breaking the record and the sound barrier. If this is successful, it will mark a record, and put him into the Guinness world Books. I wish him the best of luck.
