We live in an age, where every step we make, is crucial, As the advancement of technology and communication is available across the spectrum. Thanks to Face book, Twitter, My space, and YouTube. We have the entire world in front of our grips. (Backtracking). I remember twenty years ago, when I use to write letters by hand, and sometimes waiting weeks for the letters to be delivered,  even sometimes  even wondering if  got delivered or got lost in the mail, but today, with the advancement of technology, we can sit down in front of computer screen and send a message to our friends, family, business clients, and have it delivered to us in a matter of seconds. A great progress for man, Yes! but are we taking it to the extreme? When I grew up, It was never as issue expression your thoughts and viewpoints on anything , but with these new technologies that are available, What you say and do can have long lasting  repercussions, especially when it comes to the  school, job and public sector of our choice. Everyone is in the public eye. On the other side of the argument, these great technologies,  helps us communicate with friends and family , and also  bring news, and happenings around the world. At the same time, we have a  growing problem, when it comes to  literacy around the world , because as each  generations come to  past, we fail to recognized that reading builds literacy, which will further push the envelope for educating one's mind,  For me. The social networking is so important in today's world, but we can't become lazy and comfortable and forget the elements of reading and education one's mind. We have to continue  to read, write and research  about the world around us , and beyond, because only then, we can reach beyond our expectations. Its the  ability to read, write, learn, and apply,  which will give us a better understanding, of what it truly means, to have the world at our fingertips.

Revolution Underway?

October 15th 2011 marked World Revolution  Day:

The world is watching, and the tube is recording, as the growing  frustration continues to linger, throughout  all walks of life, as protesters are demanding their voices be heard.  But are politicians taking these street riots and protesters as a threat? No one really knows, but the one thing we all  know, The voice of the people  never go away, until something is done, only then the truth is exposed. In the meanwhile, the entire world is in uproar, as continents  across the globe, is picking up on signs,  that the world  that we once knew,  is now changing. Is this a sign that there is a revolution is underway?  Only time well tell. As for me, I think issues in these times are avoidable and  needs to be talked about, otherwise the rights and liberty we are promised, is going to be slowly taken away, making us modern day slaves. In the meanwhile, keep watching, and reading for the latest in your neighborhood, city, state, county, and etc...

Finding Humor In Bad Times

While some are angry and outraged at the politics and economical mess the country is in, there are some, who are using their creative outlets, to poke fun at the matter, as well as tell stories through drawings, to voice their opinions to the  growing problems that the nation is facing. For me, as well as others, humor is sometimes the best way to take your mind off things. As the saying goes, laughter is the best medicine. Breast Cancer Awareness Month- Dedicated to My Mother

This month marks breast cancer awareness month, and for me, I know what its like, living with a love one, who has been battling the disease for thirteen years now. My mom was diagnose with breast cancer  thirteen years ago, and for her, its been the biggest fight of her life. A mother of four children, she sacrifice alot, to put us to where we are today. A Nurse and a nutrientist, she takes great pride in taking care of others, but when she found out she was carrying the deadly disease, she had to change her lifestyle and focus on herself. Months of radiation and doctor visits, she realized she had to take her health more seriously. Especially when ti comes to the hopes of seeing my youngest sisters graduate from high school and make it on to college. These days, she is a survivor, a mother, and nurse, but her perspective on life has changed. She has learned to take life a little bit easy, and focus on the one thing that many of us take for granted these days. Our health.  These days, she is resting , eating healthy foods and taking the time to visit and consult with her doctors.  When it comes to cancer, she knows its no laughing matter, especially when it comes to taking the steps and procedures she needs to take, to ensure that the cancer doesnt  return. Its been battle, not just for her, but for me. I couldn't  imagine living my life without her. These days, she spends her time, acting silly, dancing, shopping at the stores, on the move to the local farmers market, as well, as having enough time,  to take care of her patience at work and her love ones at home. Her outlook is different, as she's taking everything all in strides, as she has learnt to have  a bigger apprenhation for life itself.. I am proud of you Mom.. Love you

The Legacy of Steve Jobs

The world lost a innovative Genius, who dedicated his life, to helping the entire world communicate through consumer electronics products . On a day of sadness and mourning, His legacy speaks to me even greatly, having the vision and the ideas he had, and what he went through during his life.  I am grateful to have the opportunity to have seen  of one the greatest minds in our generation, who brought a  purpose to the world. What really impress me about him, is where he began, and how he arrive to the point of where we all know him as.  Having drop out of college and worked in his basement, to bring to life what we know today, he has inspired me to look at the world differently , not with numbers and figures, but through inspiration, and how one person can change the lives of many. One quote that he said, that drives me to think, why great people such as Martin  Luther King, Albert Einstein  as well as Steve Jobs, have the impact they do on the world, because they  weren't afraid to step outside the box. In a quote he said,  "Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones that do." It's was through his vision, he saw something that was bigger than himself, and he was able to perfect it. In a speech he gave back in 2005, he stated, "you have to trust in something your gut, destiny, life, Karma, believe the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart. Even when it will lead you off the well worn path,  that will make the difference. That was what his legacy meant to me.

Protestors Taking It To The Streets

As the economical crisis begins to spread worldwide, there are many outrage,  by the non- progressive approach  by the  federal government. Citizens are now taken  matters  into their own hands, in the the quest of expression the first amendment, by holding demonstrations on Wall street,  to try find some solutions and  find out answers to why bankers and brokers have profited on the backs of hard-working people. Many unions and protesters are looking for answers on why their voices are ignored. Its a serious issue,  just as Greece and Portugal are now facing financial problem, which can affect the US later on down the road, if the European Debt crisis is not fixed soon. In these times, it's  apparent that the world is in dismay and the warning signs for a possible revolution is upon us, for some they are getting tired of the same old gimmicks and politricks  that is used by the  federal government. It was only a couple of months ago, the  same issues were brought up in England, as the people were showing their  frustration and outrage, holding demonstrations in the streets. What would this mean for  all of us in the future, if things don't change? Only time will tell. In the meanwhile, stay informed and updated on the latest news in your country and area.
