No More Creativity and Imagination on TV

It has recently occurred to be that the art of TV is dead! Flipping through channels to find something decent  to watch on TV is impossible these days. especially, with birth of reality TV. I remember a time, when cartoons were important to a child imagination and way of expression. Now it seems as kids are forced to grow up way too fast, because of adult content and themes in today's world. Look what today's shows have to present, Jerry Springer, Maury, South Park, Family Guy, these shows have serious implications on how a child views and sees the world, because they feel that they now they don't have to respect and listen to authority. The parents have a hard time controlling them because they are not around to supervise them to see what they are watching on TV. I remember Thunder cats in the 80's was the thing to watch after school, and how my friends and I couldn't wait to go home. How about family oriented shows such as Different Strokes, Jefferson, Facts of Life,Three's Company and the lesson one can retain from watching these programs. Now we are force to listen to sex. drugs, lies and gossip, because these are the only things society values, that we can teach our children. I find it hard to believe, especially in a world  filled of  gifted writers, editors  and producers. Are you telling me, there is no such thing as creativity and imagination left? If that's the case, why don't we  have a reality TV show about  inspiring writers editors, and producers who can produce a great show. To counter the garbage and nonsense we are forced to watch these days, only because people find gossip and meaningless talk entertaining. If this  trend keeps up, I am sorry to see what to be made of the next ten years, as art and imagination is evaporating from today's world, leaving the imprints of what we had in the past. Which was creativity, imagination, escape, fun, and enjoyment.
