This weekend I had the opportunity to provide my services to those in need. Along with my sister and other youth volunteers, we helped pack and sort basic goods to the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. From school supplies to everyday basic necessities such as soap, toothbrushes, shampoo, etc, volunteers were willing to pitch in and get their hands dirty. The young ladies were in charge of gathering the school supplies and packing them in barrels, while the young men gathered boxes, filled with clothes, toys and goods and loaded them to the front for the pickup trucks. I had a great experience helping out and getting to know them personable. Knowing that the future is in the hands of these dedicated individuals that are willing to make a difference gives me hope that the future is bright.
