My Haitian People

My Haitian people, in your deepest hours of despair,

We can not comprehend, your pain and fears,

Our eyes, are caught in the midst of your tears

But god will not forsake you! As he will lure you near,

You have the pride, of the black panther, Courageous and strong!

As you cope, in your darkest hours, your light shines, like the burning torch,

Like the vigorous winds, you blow with tremendous force,

You have overcame so much fury, Just look back at your history,

Your soul is radiant, like the warm sun, always peeking through the storm, not willing to run,

Your character, will over stand all the misery, as you will overshadow, all the Tierney,

My Haitian people, my prayers, condolences, reach out, to all friends, and family.

This Life I Lead

This life I lead, look how far one must lead, to cover miles of stream

This life I lead, the possibilities, are so clear, the images, clear as dreams,

This life I lead, the heart pumps with loneliness, but in due time, I will create my own team,

This live I lead, toppling all obstacles, so at times, have to step back and breathe,

This live I lead, have to stay militant, because It’s important, to plot and scheme,

This live I lead, out of touch with reality, because I have to gain ahead of steam,

This live I lead, the mind is chained, so it’s hard to break free,

This life I lead, so much pressure and stress, trying to find a place, for my soul to rest.

This life I lead, who ever said life is game, was wrong, because I feel like it’s a test.

This Life I lead, you only get one chance to impress, so I must do my best.

Avatar

James Cameron has the gift of imagination, creativity, and story-telling, especially in his newest film, Avatar. Avatar is the story of a ex marine, who finds himself in the hostilities on an alien planet filled with exotic life forms. He finds himself in a dilemma torn between the two worlds. As an Avatar, a human mind in an alien body.He finds himself in a fight for his own survival, and that of the indigenous people. He has to choose a side, or meet his doom. This movie has a clear message, visually and literally, speaking on anti-war. This movie speaks to a new generation, Just as Star Wars did 33 years ago, for another generation. It contains visual affects, and a clear message, that everyone can relate to. I recommend for everyone to go see this film. Its one of this movies, that you will talk about, for many years to come.

New Year- New Decade

Another decade gone, another arrives. With that, comes expectations, hope, goals challenges and dreams. For me, it’s been a very interesting decade, trying to implement my stature, and get through the so called awkward adult stages. I have been grateful and humbled by god blessings. Many times I thought I was going to lose my composure, but in the end, God held me together. It hasn't been an easy nine years. Dealing with insecurities, uncertainty, and doubts. In the end, I survived, providing evidence,to ever rainy day, the sun is not too far behind, ready to reveal its glow. This past year, it was a reflection of that. Writing and publishing my first poetry book. Therefore, putting my footprint in the sand. For the next decade, I hope to continue on the path which I am headed. In my thirties. I hope to find myself more comfortable within my skin, and gain a sense of peace, doing the thing I love to do most. Writing!!! In the next decade, I will be working hard to put out more works, reveling more thoughts, feelings, pictures. I am looking to broaden my perspective and learn other languages, while traveling to different countries. This decade promises to me very interesting and fulfilling one. Therefore getting closer and closer, to fulfilling my dream…

Flickering Star Light

Flickering star light, burning with luminous light, capturing the night,

Why is it so impossible, for you to be seen, when you burn with radiant light,

They could never understand you, your determination, your will, your fight,

How can they, when they ridicule you,

And pass judgment, dimming your flickering star light,

But in the depth of your solitude, you've shown your perseverance,

As you have shone through the twilight,

Flickering star light, keep close to the moon lite,

till the moment arrives, revealing your star bright....

My Top 10 Holiday Movies

1)Its A Wonderful Life- Unarguably one of the best holiday classics, this movie shows how one man's life can affect so many people. It makes us realize what a wonderful life we have, and that the most important things in our lives are family and friends

2)Home Alone- Macaulay Culkin made this movie. In my opinion, Its arguably the most watched movie of the holidays season. Full of comedy and action. Hilarious from start to finish. Great movie for the family.

3)The Santa Clause- Full of comedy, throughout the entire movie, Great movie for the entire family. It reveals the true spirit of Christmas. Tim Allen was born to play the part of the Santa Clause.

4)Miracle on 34th Street- Is a classic that cant go unnoticed. It made a believer out of me. Maybe there is a Santa Clause.

5) The Night Before Christmas- Who would ever think about taking over Christmas, . With a sweet fable for kids and the torture of Santa for grown-ups, it's like 'The Grinch' on acid

6)Bad Santa- Who would ever think Santa could be so cruel, The funniest Santa Movie I have ever seen. If you're looking for a good laugh during the holidays, this movie will deliver. A man plans to heist a mall safe, but more and more goes wrong as he progresses. There's just something funny about a drunken shopping-mall Santa!

7)A Christmas Story- This is a story truly captures childhood, and how self-centered yet innocent children can be. Christmas is all about memories, and comparing how we were in the past as well as how we look to the future. This is the best holiday movie of all time, as it captures the heart, humor and fun of Christmas.

8)Elf-There's nothing funnier than watching Will Ferrell portray a youthful elf in an adult’s body.

9)Jingle All the Way- Nothing more hilarious, than watching Sinbad and Arnold Schwarzenegger scramble to find their kids the gift they want. It reveals the love that a father has for his son.

10)How the Grinch Stole Christmas- Dr Seuss classic, They couldn't have picked a better actor to play the role of the Grinch. Hilarious....
