My Top 10 Holiday Movies

1)Its A Wonderful Life- Unarguably one of the best holiday classics, this movie shows how one man's life can affect so many people. It makes us realize what a wonderful life we have, and that the most important things in our lives are family and friends

2)Home Alone- Macaulay Culkin made this movie. In my opinion, Its arguably the most watched movie of the holidays season. Full of comedy and action. Hilarious from start to finish. Great movie for the family.

3)The Santa Clause- Full of comedy, throughout the entire movie, Great movie for the entire family. It reveals the true spirit of Christmas. Tim Allen was born to play the part of the Santa Clause.

4)Miracle on 34th Street- Is a classic that cant go unnoticed. It made a believer out of me. Maybe there is a Santa Clause.

5) The Night Before Christmas- Who would ever think about taking over Christmas, . With a sweet fable for kids and the torture of Santa for grown-ups, it's like 'The Grinch' on acid

6)Bad Santa- Who would ever think Santa could be so cruel, The funniest Santa Movie I have ever seen. If you're looking for a good laugh during the holidays, this movie will deliver. A man plans to heist a mall safe, but more and more goes wrong as he progresses. There's just something funny about a drunken shopping-mall Santa!

7)A Christmas Story- This is a story truly captures childhood, and how self-centered yet innocent children can be. Christmas is all about memories, and comparing how we were in the past as well as how we look to the future. This is the best holiday movie of all time, as it captures the heart, humor and fun of Christmas.

8)Elf-There's nothing funnier than watching Will Ferrell portray a youthful elf in an adult’s body.

9)Jingle All the Way- Nothing more hilarious, than watching Sinbad and Arnold Schwarzenegger scramble to find their kids the gift they want. It reveals the love that a father has for his son.

10)How the Grinch Stole Christmas- Dr Seuss classic, They couldn't have picked a better actor to play the role of the Grinch. Hilarious....

Blooming Flower

Blooming flower, which rose from the river bank,

How you defied realities expectations, and set your own rank,

How could they not see your beauty? your elegance,

Proving in doubt, you can handle suspense,

They saw your tilted stem, and never gave you a second glance,

Knowing all you needed, was a proven chance,

You sprouted from the grout, which gave you pain,

But with determination, It couldn't sustain,

With years of rain, confidence you gained,

Directed by the sun, look how far you came,

Marveled by your rose pedals, you're a true example made....

Spreading Thy Wings

Thy wings, spread high above the skies,

Soaring over mountains, taken by the breeze,

Maneuvering,gliding through trees,

Thy wings, guided by natures force,

Accelerating, burning like a torch,

Thy flocks, guided by natures relativity,

North, South, East, West,

Flocking to its quest,

But, thy wings, guided by natures shooting stars,

Soaring through clouds, directed by streams,

Thy vision, clear as dreams,

Consumed with emotion, boiling with steam,

Thy wings, pulled by the moon,

Driven by purpose, not to fall to its doom,

Thy wings, direct, as valley and shores,

Waiting for the moment, to captivate and soar.

Better Dayz

Better dayz a coming, in the dreams, I see the visions,

Better dayz a coming, hands held high, still reaching,

Better dayz a coming, blind as a bat, but still searching,

Better dayz a coming, praying to god, knowing he's listening,

Better dayz a coming, gasping for air, but still breathing,

Better dayz a coming, times are hard, but still believing,

Better dayz a coming, militant and strong, still fighting,

Better dayz a coming, reality is wrong, but still dreaming,

Better dayz a coming, the skies are gray, but the sun is peeking,

Better dayz a coming, head spinning like the globe, but still patient,

Better dayz a coming, failure or success, I'm relentless,

Better dayz a coming, like the rainbow, I just keep on going.

God's Answer

Dear heavenly father, I finally received your answer,

Now my mission is defined, and my soul is no longer tortured,

You finally accepted my prayers, so with a smile, I finally crack a laughter,

I have now decided my fate, militant like a solider,

For my legacy must be great.

Please forgive me for my mistakes,

Trying to be accepted, to enter heavens gate,

Forgive me for my misery, for the spirit in me,

Yearns for stability.

I feel, I have no one to trust, like a gun, I'm waiting to buss,

But my mission is Just

Dear heavenly father, I finally hear your answer,

denounced by my own flesh and blood, sometimes wanting to lay in a Hurst,

At times, my heart hurts,

But you haven't forgotten me, for you love is eternal

Like a rose with a broken stem, you keep me from falling,

Keeping me strong, because at times, I feel like bawling,

Dear heavenly father, keep me going, because my heart is dying,

I thank you for love, and true friend provided, Dear heavenly father,

I thank you for your answer.

Nicaragua- San Juan Del Sur

This past weekend. I took a bus from San Perdo, and traveled approximately 6 hours to the border of Costa Rica, where I took a taxi, 45 minutes to a place called San Juan Del Sur, in Nicaragua. When I first arrived, the view of the beach, I must say, was mesmerizing.Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the tides were high and prefect to look at.We got a hotel called Encanto, which was adjacent to the beach, not even a 30 yard walking distance. The hotel was nice and hospitably , and for the price of 7 dollars a night,it was well worth it, especially seeing the view of the sunrise and sunset. There were lots of vendors with items such as pottery, necklessness, sunglasses, and clothing appeal. Along the strip which we stayed, the restaurants, bars, and casinos where all close together. The deals and specials on foods and drinks were affordable, and at times extremely cheap. The locals were very nice, and helpful in providing the services, we needed them. The most memorable part of the weekend, was when we took a fairly challenging hike up a hill to a religious statue, which was overlooking the beach, and whatever else below. I never actually made my way all the way to the top, but the hike and the view we got when we were walking up the trail was breathtaking. The night life was ok, a little bit disappointing for me, reminding me of spring break in college. The vibes was not to pleasing for me, and in the end, I was expecting more locals, instead of foreigners. I figured it would have made Nicaragua more authentic, instead of touristy. The water was cool and refreshing, and the tides were perfect for surfing. I got to see the scenery of the countryside on my way there and back. It was fairly spread out, full of fields and streams, and locals walking the streets, which gave off a country vibe. All and all, it was a great experience, seeing a different culture, and mingling with the locals. They diffidently made my stay enjoyable.

Thanksgiving Trandition

Thanksgiving is a time for togetherness, and appreciating the things we are blessed with in life. It’s a time to forget the pity fights, and cruel, and come together and share the love, joy and splendor, but a new trend is evolving. This is known as greed! Over the past decades, the meaning of thanksgiving has disappeared, and new meaning called the needy consumer, has shown his ugly head. When I was a young child, I read books about the pilgrims and Indians, and how they came together to celebrate the first Thanksgiving, but today those anecdotes are becoming less and less transparent. It’s more focusing on day after thanksgiving. This is known as Black Friday. Everyone rushing to the stores the get the best deals on clothes and electronics. I see the ideal of family disappearing, and more people are taking a selfish approach. Many might say, but wait! I am doing this for the spite of the Christmas and holidays season, so I can provide gifts for my family and friends. Look at the hardships we are facing on the global spectrum. We need to start spending less money and start spending time with each other, because over spending was the reason why we got us in the global rescission in the first place. I believe as a society, we need to reevaluate our priorities so the stressful times won’t be so depressing. Just as the Indians and Pilgrims came together without monetary motivations, I believe we can learn from their examples, so times of together will bring more joy happiness to the homes of many Americans, otherwise, times of hardships will get worse, and the foundation of the American families will be lost.
