Is Loving Your Skin A Bad Thing?

Its been in the media for the past year now, that musical artists are changing their appearance, to blend with the motto, of what is beautiful in society, so they can create this new image, of self glorification. Vybz kartel, the dance hall artist, has been under fire of late, stinging  from his other dance hall counterparts, as well as others in the industry, about his sudden pigmentation change. What happened to motto, Black is beautiful?  Its a long history, when it comes to this issue, as countries such as Africa, India, Middle East, Caribbean, and other nations, that have darker skin, using chemicals to lighten their complexion, to fit societies ills, of what is beautiful. This can become dangerous and unhealthy, as it can bring about cancer that fades away the black, that is used to fight melanoma cancer, that protects darker skin people. In the latest vibe magazine issue, when ask about his drastic change, Vyz Kartel responded,  "I'm my own man, and as such I do my own thing. When black women stop straightening their hair and wearing wigs and weaves, when white women stop getting lip and butt injections and implants, when bald men stop getting hair transplants, and when people stop getting nose jobs and cosmetic surgery then I'll stop using the 'cakesoap' and we'll all live naturally ever after. Until then F**k you all."  This statement to me, comes as a shocker, especially when it comes  to the history of how people where rapped or forced to do hard labor. I've had the opportunity to travel to Central America in the past year, and how surprising arguments came about over who's skin was lighter. To me, this is a universal problem , because on the other side, it presents a  different prospective of what beauty is, as Caucasian,  go to tanning booths, to get their skin darker. Or go to specialist to have butt and lip implants  Has the whole world gone crazy! What wrong with loving your own skin, no matter the shade, variation or color. Its how we came about in human evolution. When I think of the world, I visualize a bouquet of flowers, that have a variety of different things to offer, when it comes to smell and beauty. Love your skin, no matter what grounds you stomp, or geographical area you represent. Be proud and love your skin.... One Love

Alternative Energy.... Entering The Plastic Age

I am sure, many of you, like myself, thought plastic was an annoying material, that played a minor role in society, especially, when it comes to wrapping and packaging, but now, studies have shown it can play a even a greater role when it comes to solar energy. Researchers have now said, plastic can contribute to the solar movement for the future.  Buildings could possibly be getting a plastic makeover as a result of this, Not only is it cheaper source of energy, but its lighter, compared to other source of renewable energy, which can cover larger areas. If you get enough large sheets, you can build a panel, which is far more flexible, making it easier to install. Especially, when it comes to rolling up big sheet of wallpaper, then that might be a very good way of powering developing countries. Which can be the next step, of iradicating oil dependency, which is contributes to price inflation, and evironmental health hazard. Plastic Technology, could now be an advantage when it comes to certain products such as, luggage and parasols. This new idea, can be revolutionized between the next 5-10 years for now.

World News......Russian Spy Anna Chapman to Reveal All Secrets

Its been said, when one listens to a story, One must take into account, what the other party has to say, and come to a conclusive decision. Here is a perfect example, where this might  have to come into play. Russian spy, Anna Chapman is enticing viewers to turn on her new Russian television show by promising to reveal "all the secrets." She has some vital information that might  turn some heads, and stir up some tempers. You can draw your  own inferences and say, it can be a ploy to ruin the reputation of the US, especially going back to the history of the cold war, between the two countries. After years of undercover work in the US, Anna Chapman was deported last summer, along with ten other agents, who were brought up speculation of spying. Its been reported,  now she can provide documents and supportive facts, exposing secrets and mysteries of the world. Could this be  another distraction, to cause mass confusion amongst the general public? or is this Reporter/Journalist, seeking attention for her own benefit. You be the judge! Chapman's Friday night debut program will focus on stigmata and other skin marks. It will air on REN-TV network, or log on youtube and type in Russian Spy Anna Chapman to reveals all secrets . Remember,  the world is your home, what current events happen today, affect us all tomorrow. One Love

Fun Winter Activities.... How To Build A Snowman

Wintertime is a time for fun, and enjoying the great outdoors, and get in touch with mother nature. What better way to do so then invent your own snowman. Most adults and children enjoy making their own snowman, especially when  to various shapes and sizes, here they can implement their own style. For the future, it can bring a smile to ones face , having the memory bank,  to recollect what they were doing during those times. For starters, make sure you have the right kind of snow, otherwise you can't  have a creation, and make sure the snow is hard and compact. Snowman have three parts, the bottom base, the middle body, and the head. Start with a regular sized snowball. Then begin rolling it through the snow, allowing the new snow to cling and make the snowball bigger and bigger. Keep rolling until it is the size you want for the base of the snowman, or until it is too heavy to roll, whichever comes first. The first snowball should be the largest. After the first one, roll two more, graduating them smaller in size. Place the next largest snowball on top of the base, then the last and smallest on top, to serve as the snowman's head. Now comes the best part: dressing the snowman. Traditionally most people use buttons for the eyes, but large black buttons work just fine. Add branches or large twigs for the arms, and gloves or mittens attached to the ends of the branches simulate hands. Add a scarf and hat to add character to your snowman. Carrots are traditionally used for a nose, but you can always improvise with what ever is readily available, even a colored golf ball or ping pong ball  looks great. Be sure to take a photo of the snowman surrounded by his creators.

Here's a website that I found that can give you some really cool and neat ideas.......http://www.humor-articles.com/funny-snowmen-pictures/

Is The Art Of Conversation Dead?

In a world filled with mobile phones and social networking websites, Is face-to-face talk being pushed to the margins? Does modern technology help or hinder conversation? There are people out there, who take it to the extreme, and don't find the art of having a face to face conversation enjoyable. It also has repercussions, especially in the professional world where those skills are important to everyday clients and employees.  Modern technology has been abused, to the point that many people cannot make a decision for themselves. People can't find the time to engage you with  their eyes when they talk to you, because they are so pre- occupied with who they are talking with in cyber world. Only a few of us find it easy to write down or express our feelings they way we use to. The school system is now failing as a result, because students are too busy texting in the classrooms, and not paying enough attention for incorrect spelling or grammar mistakes in the classroom, that technology can' teach them. As a result they fail to meet standards, when they go off in the real world.  Families no longer have the time to sit around the dinner table, to have a basic conversation anymore, as a result,  parents don't know what is going on in their children's lives. Truly, The art of learning real and true conversation begins at home, but sadly communication between parent and child is happening less and less these days. How about a disagreements between love interest or spouse, but not having the communication skills to work things out for the better, because the art of  expression ourselves,  is now longer there, resulting in divorce or separation. The art of  conversation is dead!! taking over by a new generation, that no longer has the ability connect face to face, because of the mind control technology has on their minds, which will have bad implications in the years to come, when it comes to relationships, between family, friends, spouses and colleagues in the changing world. I'm not saying, give up technology as a whole, because I'm for technology, when it comes to the progression of humankind, but don't forget the most important gift, that separates us from the animals, and that's the art of conversation

Remembering The Dream And The Dreamer... Dr. Martin Luther King Jr

As we observe this day, lets take the time to remember a great human being, who fought for the rights of all people. No matter what race, background, religious upbringing, or gender. He was a leader, who stood up against injustice, and took a stand and fought for all people, in a peaceful and organized manner. Especially for those who were being treated unfairly. Against a system, that oppressed and bullied its citizens, that didn't have a voice. Over the years, progression has been made in great leaps and bounds, but we still have long ways to go.  But it was of this dreamer, who had this vision, that enabled all people  to look deep inside themselves  and realize that we are greater beyond measures. His life was cut short, by someone who was trying kill his dream, but his dream lingers on today.  We as a people must continue his legacy, so his prophecy will be fulfilled. Here is his famous "I have a dream" speech where it all happened. Enjoy
